Hi there! How are you doing? Today I decided to talk about my experience visiting Los Angeles, I think it can be helpful to those of you who are planning a trip to Los Angeles and are including (of course!) Hollywood to the itinerary. So let's get into it…
Hollywood is overrated
We went to Hollywood because our visit to Los Angeles hadn't been completed without it. But the truth is that Hollywood is totally overrated. Should you go? Of course, but just schedule one day and skip expensive tours, like the Star Tour cause you only gonna see front doors.
Of course, this is just my opinion, but I guess Hollywood has seen better days, golden ages. It has an odd vibe, old and a little bit bizarre. On the other hand, it might be interesting to you that vibe and the fact you are visiting a place with spider-mans crossing the street; cause I not gonna lie, it was funny indeed.
No matter it rich cinematography history, Los Angeles is more than Hollywood. I personally don't recommend staying at Los Angeles but staying at Santa Mónica, Malibu or Anaheim (if you are visiting Disneyland). Those are practical base points that allow you to go to the rest of the places on your bucket list.

You can still make better this experience
Ok, once you have gone to the Chinese Theatre and you have already taken all the pictures to your favourites stars at the Walk Of Fame, it might be time for other activities to save this overrated visit.
The Dolby Theatre is right there and it's a good place to 1. park your car right in the middle of Hollywood and 2. Have some food. 3. Get to know the place where the Oscars take place. We went to Californian Pizza and it was fine, + you can see the Hollywood Sign from there. You can also take a tour to the Dolby Theatre... prices are 25 for adults and for youth under 17 tickets are 19. You can visit its web site here https://dolbytheatre.com/tours/schedule-and-tickets/.
Something that really saved my visit to LA was going to Griffith Park and watching the amazing landscape.
Also, you can take a Studio Tour into the Warner Bros. Studios; they offer different experiences with different prices starting from 69 dollars (you can book here https://www.wbstudiotour.com/es/tickets/). Of course, go to Universal Hollywood Studios to jump into some thrilling rides. The actual park is a little bit small but the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Springfield and the Jurassic World Ride worth it. Also, the City Walk is very good and you don't need a ticket to the enter.

The CityWalk (below) is full of amazing places to eat or grab snacks.

Hollywood is also the home of the real Disney Studios, you can pass by although you can't enter unless you are a member of the D23 Fan Club.
Los Angeles is more than Hollywood
Beaches, National Parks, incredible cafés and delis.
I already talked about Santa Mónica and Santa Bárbara, but you have to know there's nothing like the spectacular sunsets at Santa Monica or the relaxing vibe of Santa Barbara.
One place you can go around LA is the Sequoia National Park, full of huge and spectacular trees. I couldn't go and I totally regret it.
Los Angeles has other cool places to go.
