California travel inspiration boards

Hi there! Today I decided to bring a mini-post with some travel inspiration from California, USA. I made some mood boards, which are basically a kind of collage that represents a concept. Today I decided to use them to show you how beautiful California is. Some pictures are mine, others are from amazing photographers from https://unsplash.com/ an amazing website where you can download free photos (always giving the credit to the artist). I've been loving this page because it's totally free and you don't even have to ask for permission.

How to make Mood boards

As I mentioned, Mood boards are basically a kind of collage, used in several areas like graphic design, fashion design, architecture, etc. to communicate an idea or concept. "In essence, a mood board is a collection of images or objects that inspire a design." (www.shutterstock.com/blog). Today, I'll be teaching you how to create one for travel inspiration, to capture the "vibe" of the place you want to visit and writing down the spots you can explore.

When it comes to talking about travel inspiration, Pinterest is the majestic tool that allows us to find the coolest places. However, as I said, you can also use apps such as Unsplash to search for incredible images.

Once you have already collected all the pics of the place you want to visit, you need a tool for designing your board.

Canva is the most incredible design tool ever. Why? Because has been made for non-designers and is really easy to use. Just by clicking and dragging elements, you can create amazing designs. Just go and check it out: www.canva.com. Once you are there, you need to create a new document or design, a good idea is making a horizontal A4 page (the size is 25 cm x 21 cm). You can also search for "mood boards" and find templates ready-to-use.

Then you only need to drag elements, like text and upload the pictures you're going to use.

Malibu. I still own you a complete post about Malibu! It's one of my favourites beaches, I love the vibe that it has. The white house you see at the board it's Malibu Farm, a stunning place to have lunch. There are not many activities you can do here, at least you know how to surf, but if you are like me, you can just relax at the beach and contemplate the surfers and the fabulous landscape.
